Job Description
As a Test Engineer at Diode Dynamics, you will be responsible for designing and executing tests that ensure the suitability, quality, and functionality of our products in both lab and practical applications. You will be involved in all phases from product conceptualization to product release, which includes installing the product into all different makes and models of cars, designing test parameters, troubleshooting errors, and writing final test reports. To be successful as a Test Engineer, you should have in-depth knowledge of engineering and product design, must be organized with large amounts of data, and have the ability to analyze and report on test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete First Article Inspection (FAI) analysis and reports
- Operate in-house lab equipment to complete necessary validation reports
- Support Mechanical ECOs, including minor part changes and improvements
- Drawing document updates and control using Solidworks and Odoo
- Understand, maintain, calibrate, and operate all engineering test equipment.
- Building test fixtures, production test equipment, jigs, and other items as needed to support marketing, engineering, and production using the 3D printers and other shop tools as necessary.
- Preparation of written material for test procedures in production, product datasheet, and documentation of all DVP testing completed.
- Collaboration with the engineering design team in planning and developing new products.
- Communicate observations, questions, and concerns through the proper channels in a timely manner.
- Communication with marketing and sales teams to assist in product testing and troubleshooting.

- Operating system software: Microsoft Windows
- Email software: Gmail
- ERP/QMS Software: Odoo
- CAD Software: Solidworks
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain engineering test equipment
Qualifications:
- Minimum: BS Engineering or related degree.
- Test lab experience is required.
- LED lighting or automotive manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, ability to complete project goals.
- Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate project risks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.

- Competitive salary based on experience ($60,000-90,000 per year)
- Business hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 4 pm
